Oat Bread

The smell of freshly baked bread should seriously be bottled!  This recipe invokes many memories of someone taking the time to make something by hand filled with love and baked with happy thoughts that relaxes you into a blissful utopia, melting all of the stress away till you realize that all of the bread has been consumed, hopefully, not by you. (^_^)

This recipe is excellent for sandwiches! Oat Bread recipe (double recipe for family of 4 or more)

  • 2 1/4 c warm water
  • 1/4 c melted butter, or olive oil, or coconut oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 6 c bread or regular flour
  • 1 c rolled oats or 1 3/4 c oats
  • 1/4 c brown sugar (or 1/2 c brown sugar depending on your sweetness level)
  • 1 1/2 TBSP yeast (active/quick)

Put in machine according to their orders, let rise. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees in a 9 inch pie plate or 1-2 loaf pans depending on what size you want.
